No single debt solution suits everyone
Tue, 09 Aug 2011
Those suffering from debt have been told that there is no single cure-all solution to their problems.
According to the Debt Advice Foundation, there is not a "one-size-fits-all" answer to the issue and people should look to solve their troubles on an individual level.
Managing director David Rodger explained that there are a variety of debt solutions available for those who are struggling to cope.
"There is no one-size-fits-all solution and the best option depends on the individual's personal circumstances," he said.
"Bad debt advice can cause the situation to get worse, so it's important to get independent advice from an expert.
Mr Rodger added that debt charities and other organisations can often give out free advice that will help Brits understand the options available to them.
"The amount you owe, your employment status, whether or not you are a home owner all affect which is the best debt solution for you."
